"Sydney the Kidney" embraces themes found in many classical children's tales, giving them a new and thoughtful treatment. It tells the story of a group of friends (beans) struggling to find a place for themselves in the world. In the end, they realize that the best way to find a place is to work together and create one. I spent more than 10 years mulling over the ideas compiled in this work. My hope is that the whimsical nature of the writing will resonate with readers on all levels and appeal to audiences of all ages.
