Watching Syd interact with the people at the Eagles, his openness, humor, and serenity, made me want to get to know him.

I was very interested in hearing his story. I approached Syd, started talking with him, and realized how interesting a life he had lead. After hearing parts of his story, I wanted to hear more. I asked Syd if he would allow me to tell his story. He answered, "Yes, absolute."

Syd's story is about finding life, discovering his true self. Learning how to survive, to eliminate the desire to drink - how to go on with life.
