Syd the squirrel lives in a nest in the big oak tree at the bottom of Mr. and Mrs. Smith's garden. Syd wants nothing more than a peaceful and untroubled life, spending his days sitting on his favourite branch on the tree, chatting with his friends, collecting acorns and sleeping. But Syd finds that life is not so simple and there are a number of problems to be solved. Syd cannot do it on his own and he has to call on others to help him.
