Sworn to Secrecy is the personal account from a retired Correctional Officer written in the effort to break the silence, raise awareness, and bring hope to other officers who are suffering in their battle with PTSD. To offer support and encouragement for our CO's by educating their families and the general public of the heavy mental and spiritual burdens that weigh on the shoulders of our unsung heroes. Daniel Leblanc retired from a career in Corrections after serving 31 and a half years. In 1974, he was the youngest officer to be recruited at the tender age of 18. After retirement, he found it difficult to disengage from the world he had toiled in for over three decades. Five months into retirement, Danny accepted a teaching position at a local Community College where he would help train the next generation of recruits for their careers in Corrections. This was his chance to make a diffirence in the lives of young officers, by preparing them mentally and emotionally in ways that he could only have hoped for himself.
