Book Overview

Casey Gordon is lean and limber, a 17-year-old senior at Westfield High School. Casey is a bright, energetic, caring girl but she seems to need to be hurt. She injures herself a little too much in track competitions and she always falls in love with real losers. She doesn't really understand the conflicts inside of her and the feelings of unworthiness that set her up to get involved with Paul VanHorn. Paul is nineteen, and he graduated--under a cloud...

Sweet Pain

This is a touching book, based on the life of a teenager, who has always had it all, except the right boyfriend. Casey is a track star, has a close group of friends, and a family that loves her. Then Paul Vanhorn walks into Casey's life. He was the outcast at school. years back before he dropped out. Despite what Casey's friends say, she decides to give Paul a chance. Their first few dates were great. Casey can't help but fall in love with his sence of adventure. Soon her paradise comes to an abrupt hault, Paul hits her. It isn't until Casey ends up in critical condition in the hospital that she realizes she needs to get out, but getting out isn't as easy as getting in. "This is a great book, inspiring, and educational." I highly recommend it.
