Sweet Dreams: At the Heart of Innocence Was Evil... At the Core of Light Was Darkness... [Mass Market Paperback] William W. Johnstone (Author) Mass Market Paperback: 397 pages Publisher: Zebra Books... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Johnstone brings forth a story that blends both history and horror together brilliantly. A town rocked by an odd phenomenon, a pair of kids who are somehow at the center of it, people experiencing their worst experiences in their life all over again but on display for anyone to view, even those tossed all the way back into the old west with clothes and weapons all. People committing crimes uncontrollably from sodomy of a teacher to said teacher killing one man and her fiance all dressed like an American Indian. For history buffs this is one of the best horror books that you could read.

This is the first horror book i read about 8 or 9 years ago, and i must say it scared me then. I wanted to read it again because i can remember most of the book. i have also read otehr books by this author that were good but not as great as this one.

I read this book years ago and I must say that even now the images are still with me. It's a great summer read, but do not read it alone in your house at night!!! This is not a great literary classic. But, does every book need to be? Johnstone is a wonderful writer who can entertain his readers wholeheartedly... and frighten even the most stoic of readers! If a book can bring me back again after more than 10 years, I think that the author deserves some credit!
