A romantic getaway. A remote swamp. What could possibly go wrong?
After everything she's survived, Shelby Moore is finally getting a break. No haunted asylums. No shadow figures. No ghosts breathing down her neck.
Just a long-awaited trip to the Louisiana swamp to meet Brock Daltry... and maybe, finally, figure out what's been simmering between them.
It's supposed to be simple. Relaxation. Romance. A chance to feel normal again.
Yeah... not so much.
Because the swamp has other plans.
Locals don't like to talk about what lives out there, but Shelby starts to notice things almost immediately. Strange noises in the water. Movement in the trees. The unmistakable feeling that something is watching them... waiting.
At first, she tells herself it's just her imagination.
Then it follows them.
Then it hunts them.
Now Shelby and her loyal, questionably attractive dog Fugly are trapped in a place where the rules are different, the shadows move on their own, and whatever is stalking them knows the swamp far better than they ever could.
And this time, it isn't a ghost.
It's something far more dangerous.
In the swamp, love might get you killed... but curiosity will make sure of it.
