Swami Chidananda: an eternal story

This is a free, not verbatim, translation of the original novel 'Putra Amṛtācā' (Son of the Nectar) written by Sau. Rajalaxmi Deshpande of Pune, an ardent devotee of Swamiji. It was meant to be a biography of Swami Chidanandaji written in the style of a novel. It was published in 1995 as part of her loving service to the Master on his amṛta mahotsava, completion of 75 years of service to the mankind. Swamiji had appreciated the work and blessed a copy of her work in his own handwriting.Since the present work is a free translation, an attempt has been made to retain original flavour of the novel, while adding or eliminating or modifying certain portions to mould it into the nuances of English language without sacrificing authenticity and sweetness of the original work. Certain events have been dramatized to suit the style of presentation. However, the authenticity of the even has not been affected. If any inaccuracy has inadvertently crept in, the translator owns it up.This translation being written 25 years after Marathi book was released, later portions of Swamiji's life, till his attaining the God-hood, were obviously not covered in the original. Therefore, a last few sections have been added to briefly cover his life and work during the last seventeen years.
