Everybody's Got Their Something.
In a penthouse suite, enigmatic cellist S verine is lured from retirement to score a horror film soundtrack. She agrees, but makes a strange request. Something of an avant-garde artist, she requires a fitting site. To conjure an appropriate setting, the producer limos her Upstate to a farmhouse. Decorated to scare. But when S verine arrives, she's disappointed.
Nevertheless, a contract is binding, she's got a legacy on the line, and she begins to compose. Though she's not alone. Stalkers, voyeurs, and, fanatics track her every move, unbeknownst to S verine of course. Soon she finds herself in a hellish slasher movie of her own making. Triggering repressed trauma, Kabalistic rituals, and a detective who's uncovering a buried plot.
A tone poem to art, femininity, process, and meaning, S verine Gets Bopped is a psychological horror, intended to frighten the reader as much as its protagonist. Paralleling the journeys into an inquiry on the origins of evil, and our dreadful human condition. A complex mystery within a mystery...
