If I had been a 'pure self-esteem warrior' back then, I would have shone in the world of cinema like others if I had gone as far as adjusting to certain things in some places now. I got away from it because that 'intellect' was not there then, and looked more like 'flame' from being a freelance writer. I tried harder but lost the self-esteem I didn't want more than I could stand across from it. 'Why all this, let's run our own magazine? I started 'Man' in 1954. Despite popular support for it, it died within a year of its birth due to the 'truth test' by the sellers and the lack of financial facilities or friends to recover from that 'truth test' from time to time. The biggest loss I have ever suffered was the loss of my longtime friend and owner of Star Publications, Mr. I lost Ramanathan's friendship. After that how many publishers, how many publications - nothing came of the item. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person.
