Sustainable development is important for improving quality of life, overcoming poverty, meeting basic human needs and equalizing income, reducing consumption of natural resources, reducing air and water pollution, preserving biodiversity, preventing shortages that may put humanity at risk, preserving natural resources for future generations, as well as promoting social justice and equity. In my environment as a teacher and facilitator of students achieving meaningful learning of knowledge, I consider sustainable development to be associated with a holistic approach that takes into account everything from manufacturing to logistics to customer service. Being green and sustainable is not only beneficial to the company, but also maximizes the benefits of a long-term environmental approach.
