Anne Hutchinson was killed by the Indians in what is now the Bronx in 1643. Her daughter, Susannah, was taken alive, while nine were massacred. Just seven years earlier they had come from England to Boston in the new world. The Puritan leaders did not like Anne's women's meetings nor her beliefs.
