Heartwrenching

This book has many different tales, all set from a child or young adult's point of view. They are all true, and they are all gruesome. Reading this book almost completely altered any views that I had previously held on the war. And, although the narrators of the various tales survive, many (if not most) of their comrades and family do not. One does not have to be a child to read and gain from this powerful book.
