Survivor Soul Speaks

By: Yasmeen

Survivor Soul Speaks is a collection of poems by Literary Activist and Author Yasmeen. From the innocent imagination days of childhood to the dark experiences of commercial sexual exploitation; Yasmeen's poetry explores her journey through abuse, trauma, addiction, domestic violence, racism, homelessness, and survival in and escape from the sex trade.

Her work is an expression of reclaiming sacred power; a survivor rising as a Goddess thriving despite adversity in a prejudiced, patriarchal society.

Through emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual healing, Yasmeen embarks on a profound journey of restoration.

This book is more than poetry-it is a journey of a Black woman's rise to wellness and personal power through healing, recovery, advocacy, activism, community, and creativity. As she embraces her sacred divine feminine energy, she invites and encourages other women to do the same reclaiming their power, their voices, and their freedom.
