By the time Skye Martino had reached thirteen, not only was she still not sleeping, having dreams with messages from people who had crossed over (a couple she did know, but the mass majority of them she didn't), and having being over-come by emotions that she couldn't explain, but now (in the middle of the night) she is seeing spirits and hearing whispers in the night. So, yes... now she is "delusional." It also didn't help that her mother caught her lighting candles and sage, in the possession of crystals, while attempting to bless and cleanse the house... and herself. That is when the psychiatric hospital admittances started. She was labeled as crazy, delusional, evil (yes, "evil"), and a "social outcast." She was admitted and released from the adolescent psychiatric ward ten times in one year before the doctors decided that she needed to be placed in long-term full-time psychiatric care. And just when she thought her life couldn't get more 'interesting'... she was sent to New Hope.
