In 2050, Western Civilisation (sometimes known as the Restless Culture) collapsed catastrophically of its own accord. On the island, however, life continued with little change, because the islanders' unique culture was much older than the Restless Culture. It is now 2150 and a well-led gang of people are ready to wreck the idyllic life on the island and reinstall the Restless Culture. Two farmers, Ned and Tom, have a knack for detecting people who secretly support the Restless Culture. They ultimately save the day, but not before facing death more than once.
