BEST SPANISH BOOK FOR PARAMEDICS/EMTs

I have the 4th edition, and used an earlier verson as the textbook for my "Spanish for EMS" college classes. And I carry it with me when I'm working on the ambulance! MARVELOUS book--very accurate translations that are "street smart". The book will help you more if you already have a "feel" for Spanish pronunciation, but he even included a quick section on that. Would like to see even more EMS terms--such as the translation for "backboard, c-collar", etc. However, this is a fantastic buy for the money, and I recommend it repeatedly for my serious students. Would be marvelous for the E.R. staff, and there is a section for police and firefighters also. Easy-to-find topics and even some great recipes in the back!

The best medical spanish book on the market

For anyone in the health professions who needs to communicate quickly and accurately with Spanish speaking patients this book is the best thing I've ever found. I was doing physical exams in spanish in less than 2 hours practice.A MUST HAVE!

If it's like that 3d edition it's the Best!!

I wrote a review for the 3d edition of this book. This is a GREAT book with hundreds (at least) examples, phrases, insights, and tricks.The author breaks everything down into simple yes and no questions so you don't have to really speak Spanish to get your questions answered. You just have to understand SI and No! It must have taken hundreds of hours to come up with this. The author must be a doctor because the questions go beyond what I want to know.We've xeroxed some of the pages and keep them at the Check-In desk. I can't say enough about this book other than if you've got a copy (3d version is out of print) then keep locked up I'd be lost without my copy.
