What happens when three living things, 2 adult human beings and a cat, get cooped up in 1 room and need to co-exist for 11 days in totally unfavorable conditions?A beautiful home with an award winning garden oasis, nestled in a wooded neighborhood in Smith Creek, West Kelowna, B.C. becomes endangered. A small forest started by a lightening strike or by a spark from an ATV, cause still inconclusive, grows in magnitude to become the catastrophic McDougall Creek wildfire that captures global news headlines. The raging blaze scorches West Kelowna mountain ranges and transcends down the hillsides threatening an entire community, causing havoc.The three evacuees escape and take refuge in a 1 minuscule hotel bedroom. With a surge of adrenaline and emotions running high, there is an urge to seize the moment, "carpe diem", by grabbing something to write with and scrounging around for something to write on. It is a perfect storm for intense feelings to spill onto paper.
