Surrender is the personal acknowledgment of God's rightful claim on everything-His undisputed occupancy in, and possession of, our hearts and lives. Struggling means the inner war still rages. Self still competes for the throne of life. Selfish desires, willful passions, and even unyielded ambitions are signs of struggling. But surrender declares the war is over. That happens when Self raises the flag of truce and fully yields the throne to God.
