Best Surfing Book for Ladies!

This book is not only informative and helpful, but it is a great read! I laughed so hard I couldn't put it down. As a surf journalist, I've read all the girl's surf books out there. This was the first one to come out and by far the best. I was especially curious to read Izzy and Coco's book because they were the first to start an all-women's surf school. Surfing can be such a frustrating sport to learn, but Izzy and Coco make it fun gives you all the tools you need to be a true "Surf Diva."

A Must-Read for Surf Divas in Training!

This book is an absolute must-read for any gal who wants to learn to surf! I wish it was published 20 years ago! Izzy and Coco have given women's surfing a tremendous boost by offering this easy and fun-to-read "how-to" guide to women's surfing. It's full of useful tips about such necessary things as the right size board for your particular surfing conditions, safety precautions, and surfing etiquette. I grew up at the beach in the late 70's and early 80's and wanted to learn to surf, but I was too shy to ask the boy surfers for help, and besides, they weren't too friendly with my being in the water and possibly taking THEIR waves. I chickened out and remained a diehard bodysurfer. If I'd had Surf Diva as my handbook, or if I'd been lucky enough to take a class from the Surf Diva Surf School, I'd have undoubtably taken up surfing and would most likely still be surfing today. I just had my first baby, a daughter, and as soon as she's old enough, I hope she'll be lucky enough to take a Surf Diva class and read Surf Diva: a girl's guide to getting good waves.

Smart, witty and fun. I couldn't put it down. It is powerful and feminine. A must have for anyone who is interested in surfing or marrying a surfer. My husband gave it to me and said, "A couple that surfs together, stays together!" PADDLE ON!

Until "Surf Diva: A Girl's Guide to Getting Good Waves" came along, I never would have thought it was possible to get surf stoke from reading a book. But Izzy and Coco's writing will grab you, throw you a bottle of sunblock, and have you paddling out into some amazing swell....even if you're reading it while sitting on the couch. The writing style is almost like chatting with one of your girlfriends....who just happens to have a plethora of knowledge about all things surfing related. VERY informative, INSANELY fun....with personality and humor pouring off of every page. You're right there, on the beach, pulling on your wetsuit and strapping on your leash.

This is the must have for all the surf sistahs out there! Izzy and Coco have written a book that makes surfing come alive and gives you visions of surf stoke to carry you until your next session! For the groms/and groms at heart out there, you will get tons of good info with regards to water saftey, what kind of board to buy, how to find a good surf school and how to handle yourself out in the lineup! The book also gives you some fun insight into surf culture and surf fashion. Everything a true surf diva needs to know! Now get out there get this book and catch some waves girls!
