Great resource

I purchased this book for a graduate level course on reading comprehension strategies. The information from the book helped me design seven strategy introduction lessons for intermediate students. The activities to help reinforce the strategies are age appropriate. I recommend the book!

Best comprehension resource book!

I highly recommend this resource book to all educators teaching reading! It not only gives you specific ways to teach comprehension strategies, but it also includes ready-to-use activities you can use with any reading selection (basals, guided reading, etc.). I like the examples the author gives you of a primary and intermediate lesson too. This is one resource I use daily in my classroom and was worth its weight in gold when I saw the impact it made on my students' comprehension!

This is one outstanding resource for teachers of reading grades 3-8. I ordered this book and did not know that my reading department had decided to order the same book for the entire school! I had to return my purchase, as the school district bought another for me~ I totally recommend getting this book if you are a teacher~~
