Jeff Whitman loves superheroes. The soon-to-be middle schooler pours over comic books and comes up with his own super sagas. He may look up to imaginary heroes, but they can't exactly talk back. Jeff will have to go to others for advice when a horrible bully schemes to steal all his friends.

Hines Redgrave absolutely hates Jeff. He doesn't understand why all the kids want to be friends with that nerd. Hines thinks you can bully people into liking you, and he's mad that Jeff doesn't have to try so hard.

To get back at Jeff, Hines comes up with a dastardly plan. He will invent his own video game. The kids will be too busy playing his addictive new game to even notice Jeff. It works His game, Revenge of the Talking Televisions, is so much fun no one wants to do anything else but play it.
