The good times that began with last season's Hidden Picture Mazes continue! These are no ordinary mazes: they've got something extra, because every time you solve one, you also create a picture. ?Kids start out as usual: finding and tracing a path from the maze's entrance to the finish, while avoiding false leads and dead ends. Then, when they take a pen or marker and make a thick line over that correct path, an image will emerge--including a cat, a skier, a house, and a palm tree.? Every one is a super surprise.
I love puzzles - sudoku, hanjie, mazes, logic puzzles, & word searches. The hidden picture maze books offer something you don't get when you complete an ordinary maze or many of these other types of puzzles - you get a picture! (I thought that I'd be able to tell what the picture was before the puzzle was done, but quite often I found this wasn't the case.) Having something when you're done is what I also like about hanjie puzzles (often called griddlers, nanograms, and paint-by-numbers), but sometimes, late at night, those require too much thought. That's when I pull out my handy dandy "Hidden Picture" maze books and start coloring in the paths. They're just fun!
