It feels like visiting an old family scrapbook

All of the characters all stick in your mind a long time after you have finished the book. Sometimes I still find myself wondering what Edith or one of the other characters would say in reference to a current event that has happened in today's world. The dialogue used was realistic and true to the period of time. It was very refreshing to read language that was so descriptive and vibrant. The reader was allowed to feel as though they were present during the conversations between the characters. I read the last few chapters slower than the rest of the book to make it last longer. I didn't want it to end.

I couldn.t put it down until I finished it.

The characters were so real and the story written in a way so easy to read. I lived through the depression, so I can tell you that this author knows how to take you back in time with his words. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

A TRUE PAGE TURNER

From the start to the finish you laugh, cry, and remember what family is. The hard times they went through, and the true love that the Foster's had for each other is something I think all young and older lovers strive for. I can't wait for Foster's next novel.

It made me laugh, cry and fall in love with the characters

I enjoyed reading Sunshine Mountain because the characters were so believable. Earl and Edith were real people, with simple dreams - who only wanted to live a honest and good life. They had many trials and tribulations to overcome, but together they did it. Their love and determination helped them overcome their problems. They truly enjoyed their trip up Sunshine Mountain - together.

the book made me laugh and cry for the chacters

this book has a lot of chacters in it but when you really get to know Earl and Edith and all the things they had to overcome you just love them and wish the story continued . I was sorry it ended so soon.
