The fire hasn't burned out-it's only getting hotter.
Fresh from surviving the Velvet Cross, rising rock star Roxie Rose wakes in Savannah, Georgia, with the cursed golden microphone humming at her side and the memory of a death song echoing in her throat. Her next gig is at The Devil's Lantern, a notorious riverfront club built on ashes, where lanterns burn too long, shadows whisper, and the Savannah River remembers every soul it has claimed.
The band is splintering under pressure, her greedy manager is already branding her as "the girl who sings with ghosts," and audiences want more than music-they want a s ance. When the lights dim, the dead rise to dance.
The only man who seems to understand the danger is Silas Raines, the Lantern's dangerously magnetic owner. With storm-grey eyes and secrets carved as deep as the river, Silas warns Roxie never to sing at midnight. But desire sparks hotter than firelight, and Roxie can't tell if he's trying to save her... or if he's part of the curse himself.
When the encore begins and the lantern flames lift into the air, Roxie must choose: surrender her voice to the Usher, the sinister figure who collects debts for the circuit, or defy the Devil's Lantern and risk burning alive on stage.
Savannah never forgets her ghosts. And Roxie Rose may be about to join them.
