As the sundogs begin to appear in the sky and the sea becomes horse latitude still, a hurricane bears down on the island. Under the cover of a massive storm, old scores are going to be settled and Roedock is going to put things straight in his own fashion. "Another pearl from the pen of Bob Stave, an expansive novel of betrayal and vengeance set in today's wicked wide world. If you like the protagonists a little world weary and rough around the edges, this book is for you. With locations are disparate as an Argentine murder factory, the mid century West of Montana and a retirement home in the South of France. Throw in Key West and Cancun for good measure and you can see why I was engrossed from page one. Full of fascinating gems of information, knowledge and twists I didn't see coming. I couldn't, and didn't, put it down." -Harry O'Connor
I loved this book. It is probably my favorite Robert Olen Butler book. The book is sort of a cross between Camus "The Stranger" and Hemmingway's "A Farewell To Arms."
