Set inside a beautiful love story. This is one woman's account of her struggle with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). When I met her she was this amazing and incredible woman, so full of love and life, and teaching me how to really experience and appreciate the beauty in nature all around us in every moment. As our relationship becomes more serious, she confessed she has PTSD. She explains she leads a fairly normal life now with few symptoms, and has been in a recovered state for some time. However, there is the possibility she could experience symptoms from time to time, seeming out of the blue, that she has no control over, but feels I need to be aware of. In trying to understand her "illness" I ask her to tell me her story and how she recovered. She is reluctant, but wants to help me to understand. Ultimately she relapses, leading me to unfortunately witness the haunting symptoms of PTSD first hand, and how she recovers and returns to me. This story is told from an outsider's perspective and how I struggle to understand her condition, what activates or triggers her, her symptoms, and how she recovers and maintains her recovered state. It will provide enlightenment and help anyone with loved ones with PTSD, to try to understand the bizarre and confusing symptoms and different manifestations of PTSD.It is also inspiring, offering much hope to those with PTSD, as it tells her story of what recovery means to her, the life is has created for herself, and how she came to recover and recapture her life.
