It's the summer of 1981. Morgan and her brother Mike were set for their summer jobs the likes of which they had never experienced. They would be working at a lake resort in rural south-central Oregon where they made the most of their summer, trying to add to the list of outdoor experiences they both had as children. Growing up in the much more urban Portland, they were excited to get away from the hustle and grind of summer in the city. Morgan, in particular, wanted to see how many things she could check off her bucket list. They met and worked with some wonderful people that summer. It was all so satisfying having the opportunity to do so many new things. Morgan felt like it was like a dream...until it wasn't.
