Summer in Furnished Rooms

By Marc Plourde

Summer in Furnished Rooms is a work that tunnels into the life experience of fifty-five years (from 1961 to 2016), retrieving episodes that may seem like fiction when viewed from the distance of time. The poems are about Marc Plourde's life experiences, including the shooting at Dawson's College which took place while he was teaching there. Marc Plourde was included in the Penguin anthology of Canadian poetry before he was twenty years old (1970). Summer in Furnished Rooms is Marc Plourde's fourth collection of poetry. He has had a distinguished career translating Qu b cois poetry in to English.
