Summer's Editorial

This book was about a thirteen year old girl named Summer. She has to write an editorial for her school news paper. So she writes an editorial on the Christmas program and about how some religions that don't celebrate Christmas feel left out around that time. People get mad at that she wrote it and they wanted her to write a sorry paper but she didn't. Another part is that her best friend likes a Rod Whitman and she goes out of town and Summer think she finds out that Rod kind of likes her. I really liked this book because it seemed to me that some parts in the book could really happen. I also liked it because she fought for what she believed in. I rated this book five stars out of five stars because it was an awesome book.

Summer Begins

I really liked this book. It was one of the best books I ever read. I really liked how the book was set up and explained things very clearly. I also liked how it didn't spend a lot of time on one part like some books do. It wasn't confusing at all. Summer is like me at the beginning of the book. She doesn't like to give her opinions to anyone because she is scared that they will get mad at her. It deals with troubles at school, friends, and parents, which most teenagers do have.I really liked the characters the author chose for this story. Summer is a girl who most people would think is a "nerd." I don't think I've ever read a book where the author uses a character like Summer. Rod is the opposite of Summer. He is the most popular boy at Summer's school. No one thinks popular people have it hard in life, but from this book I think they have it harder than other people. They have to be accepted by other kids and their parents and also do well in school. This book tells you both sides of these types of people. This book makes you think about what you go through in life. I rate this book five out of five. It was an excellent book. I really, really liked it. I encourage you to read this book and see if you liked it as well as I did. Teenagers would love this book.
