Suly?lesta is based on accelerated language learning through a method called Total Physical Response (TPR) Storytelling. TPR, originally referring to the use of Total Physical Response, is also recognized as "Teaching Proficiency and Reading Through Storytelling." The goal of TPR through storytelling is focused on developing oral proficiency and reading. Through action words and commands, Suly?lesta demonstrates the resilience, survival and evolving culture of the St'at'imc, honouring past generations of Indigenous language speakers, and encourages present and future generations to preserve St'at'imc language and culture.
