This project began with a simple idea: to write four lines of poetry a day for 100 days. It was centred around helping myself deal with the pain of unintentionally pushing someone away, over time, who was once extremely special to me. I had been (unsuccessfully) dealing with mental health issues on my own. Learning the hard way that not seeking help early was not the best approach. Thus began my journey of the 100 Thoughts in 100 Days project. These four lines a day would eventually turn into this book, documenting the 100 days post my lowest point, while dealing with pain, heartbreak, jealousy, and self-loathing, as well as moments of love, joy, happiness... and most importantly, growth. By no means am I the finished product or my best self just yet, I may never get there. But for the first time in a long while, I have hope. All I want from this book is to connect with anyone out there who's struggling or going through their own battles and hardships, know you are not alone, speak up and seek help.
