Sugar cane- A novel of the Eternal Triangle - this time with a rastafari cast in the role of a gentle understanding lover, the woman who found identity in his arms and the school master from whom she fled because he increasingly abused her sexually. Sugar Cane - is the alias of an aspiring song writer and through his attempts to break into the world of entertainment we are given the behind the scenes activities of small time producers. About the Author Alex Morgan was born in Tivoli Gardens, Jamaica, on December 24, 1970. He attended Dintill Technical High School and later obtained his law degree from the University of London. Mr. Morgan presently lives in Portmore where he is at work on his next novel.
The story surrounds a rastafarian man who goes to the country hills in Jamaica to live. There he has as neigbours a woman who is a nurse and her man who is a teacher. The man-Hector White-hates this rasta thing and the woman secretly amdires them. What this mix ultimately results is a love triangle that is funny, sad and verry sexy. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a book they can simply not put down till the very end. My only complaint is that it is a little too short but then all good things tend to be that way.
Rasta Sex and humour at its sweetest...

I feel a little guilty admitting this, but it is the humour and the sex that really makes me love this novel. I really love the way the author describes the sex scenes, and the humour that is employed in describing the many antics of the book's main characters. The sex is hot and 'sticky sweet' and the jokes are rampant. Furthermore, the story takes place on the island of Jamaica (where Rastas are from) you just gotta love that!A juicy island-flavoured mix of themes, from reggae music to religion and romance, abound in this novel. If you are one to give in to the odd guilty pleasure, Sugar Cane is as sweet as they come.
