Sugar Cane Receipts: The Weird Confessions of Wired Friends

By Emmanuel Ojukwu

Ngozi, Tunde, Abu, Musliu and Atunma, bonded by the same fate, seek a new lease of life and reparation after their rehabilitation from their respective aggressive escapades of immorality and illegality...Since they fail to recognize that the way up is down, they regret their initial upstarts. Not short of lamentation, Sugar Cane Receipts is a window through which a series of social foibles and their anomic implications on the society are seen. This book's didactic strength is eclectic-it leverages on the confessor characters' experiences, using Bible references, adages and proverbs, and the street parlance typical of the lives they lived in the past.
