The Suckles of a Hummingbird, in it's literal meaning is to signify a very special bird, little in size but known to be the speediest creatures of the sky, it's wing can flip 80 times a second! And with it's long beak, goes to suckle pure nectar from wild flowers. And in this book, it's exactly what I'm aiming to set forth to my readers. My writing would be like the suckles of a hummingbird; pure nectar! I started writing poetries; 7 years ago. My first work, I remember it dearly, none of the words, but everything that I was feeling while I was writing it. The book came to life 5 years later, and I published it under my name, mailed myself an authors copy which came to the house a few days later. When I saw the book, I recognized the cover page but the contents were almost like a work of someone else. Well, clearly it was my work, but I then realized all the words from my previous book 'The Poets Dance' came directly from my heart center and nothing from the head and that's why I couldn't remember the contents. In Suckles of a Hummingbird, I had decided to express my feelings and emotions but this time I invited the mind along. Peculiar as it sounds, I believe this work will reach more people through their thoughts and a small hope in me that it will triggers many hearts.
