Many people with disabilities are diagnosed at a very young age. This is beneficial to those individuals, as they have the opportunity to be given the help, support, and intervention they need to succeed, early on. However not everyone is given that luxury. Some people must struggle the bulk of their life in order to get the help that they need for their disability. I am such person. I was not diagnosed with my condition until 18 years old, which caused horrendous situations and challenges for me. I struggled making friends, understanding the world, and being understood by the world. But regardless of those factors, I am becoming more successful in my journey each day.
