The manual was developed to teach important character development, life skills and leadership training at a highly successful martial arts school.Many of the concepts, drills and skills that are contained in this book are not taught in school. However, the author believes they should be a part of every child's education.For several decades I have owned and operated a highly successful martial arts school. We specialize in teaching children.I have worked with thousands of children over the last twenty plus years. Many of them have been great academic students but many have also had ADD, ADHD and other focus problems. But all of my students lacked practical knowledge of life skills, character development and leadership ability.This shouldn't come as a surprise as standard academic institutions of learning really don't teach these vital skills of success. I don't fault them for this as their burden is to teach the curriculum that is required by each state. They simply don't have the time nor the specific training to teach these things.I have been very fortunate to have had studied success for the last forty plus years. I have read hundreds of books, listened to hundreds of tapes and CDs and watched dozens of DVDs on the subject of personal development and success. Additionally I have attended many seminars by the likes of Jim Rohn, Anthony Robbins, Zig Zigler and many others.I also have applied this knowledge to my own life and businesses. With God's help I have been fortunate enough to become a successful businessman, husband, father and grandfather.A number of years ago I developed an extensive program to teach my students the principles of success and leadership. I spent eleven months putting together a manual that my instructors and I could follow to help us facilitate this training. It has been an outstanding success at my school.My students leave my training as they go off to college and technical schools to further their academic education, armed with knowledge and ability that far exceeds their piers. They are head and shoulders above other young adults who have not had the opportunity to learn these vitally important success and leadership principles.While I have been privileged to share this knowledge with many over the past decade, I realize that I can only reach a very minute number of children who could desperately use this ability in their own lives.After much thought I decided to write this book.
