For years, I've been teaching, facilitating, coaching, designing, and developing learning resources. All of this effort has been focused on how to help people learn more, better, and faster. While doing this work, many people asked me when I was going to share what I know with parents who want to help their kids succeed. There just never seemed to be enough time to make it happen.After getting our youngest son through high school and helping manage eLearning for my grandkids during the pandemic, I recognized the significant effort required to help young ones succeed at learning. Honestly, I'm not sure what I would have done to help them had I not been a learning professional. Once I acknowledged this, I really wanted to make the time to share what I have learned over the years so others can feel more empowered to help the kids they care about become strong learners.Surprisingly, the information presented in this little book can help homework time be more fun. I know that for some of you, that may seem impossible, given the tears, the frustration, and the arguments. But the time spent teaching and coaching your child to become a better learner can be some of the most rewarding time you spend with your young ones.I wrote this book based on the assumption that not everyone wants a master's degree in education or to enroll in courses at the local university. You, and many others, really just want to help your young ones successfully navigate their educational experiences and, ultimately--life. The simple models and approaches we will address together will go a long way toward helping you engage your child in effective and efficient learning. I'll cover lots of topics, and I've written the book to be a quick read. So, to help you learn both quickly and thoroughly, I've included additional resources that are available on the website.
