This book uses questionnaires, classroom observations, and interviews to study the use of Chinese learning strategies by South Asian undergraduate students in the target language environment. The questionnaires analyze the strategy use of the overall students and the strategy use of students with different motivations, genders, and grades. Combined with classroom observations and interviews, the book makes a more specific supplement to the use of six types of learning strategies from the learning characteristics of South Asian undergraduate students and their specific performance in the four skills and four elements of Chinese. Based on the above analysis, reasonable suggestions are put forward from the two aspects of "teaching" and "learning" Chinese for South Asian undergraduate students.
