Study of the activity of the VIN 11 extract

The objective of this work was to study the effect of VIN 11 extract on diarrhea in guinea pigs. Its anti-secretory effect was studied in vivo on intestinal hypersecretion induced by 2 g/kg of magnesium sulfate, administered orally. While its effect on intestinal hypermotility was studied in vitro on isolated duodenum contracted with acetylcholine. Our results show that VIN 11 extract decreases intestinal hypersecretion induced by magnesium sulfate.
