Conveyor belts are one of the most important components of conveyors, widely used in mines and heavy industries to transport bulk materials over long distances. In Algeria, conveyors are essential for transporting materials in mines, but they often face problems such as conveyor belt failure, contamination, excessive wear and tear, mechanical failures and tension issues. This book discusses conveyor belt transport, using the belt conveyor at the El Ma Labiod cement plant as a case study. In particular, the context of this book is the problems of conveyor belt wear and the proposal of solutions to remedy these problems.
