INTRODUCTION

With the fast progress of knowledge and information, industries are growing fast. The

mechanical equipment used by industries is controlled without human intervention and

with high accuracy. The vibrations in rotating machinery due to various reasons cannot

be removed completely, but they can be controlled to some extent by proper maintenance of

it. The presence of defects in machine components leads to an increase in vibration due to

change in its natural frequency. If this system's natural frequency matches with external

excitation frequency then it will take very less time to develop the resonance amplitude of

vibration
