Struggles of the Living is a collection of fictional short stories inspired mainly by real-life experiences of hardship. Some of these struggles span generations, while others are rooted in economic, ethnic, religious, political, or ideological conflicts.
The stories in this collection highlight some of these struggles, ranging from avoiding capture in Riga during World War II (WWII) to evading deportation in California. The struggles portrayed are real, involving actual people, whether they are in Riga, Calcutta, or Culiac n. Discrimination, atrocities, and wars don't have to happen, and if they do, they should not be normalized. This collection aims to view these struggles through the perspective of those who suffered.
