Stress and Vulnerability a Negative Influence on Performance

The objective of this study was to analyze the vulnerability and stress responses of employees of a trading company in Los Mochis, Sinaloa and their relationship with productivity. The sample consisted of 77 workers from the company's local departments. The instruments used were the AF5 self-concept questionnaire, cognitive distortions, Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and the performance evaluation report as a measure of productivity. To analyze the data, the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin KMO sample adequacy measure was used to determine the feasibility of performing factor analysis; reliability analysis was also performed using cronbach's alpha and pearson's coefficient to analyze the relationship between the variables. From the results obtained in the vulnerability measures were emotional self-esteem and the divine reward fallacy, the elements that most affect the workers, as well as the stress response mostly found, was emotional fatigue.
