What Goes Up Must Come Down

Street Team is the cautionary tale of four best friends and inner city teens lured into the world of hustling. Butter, D-Mac, Flip, and Wu succumb to the violence and crime surrounding them in their environment. After making several thousand dollars on their first day in business, there was no looking back. As the dollar signs grew, so did the risk. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Among the four friends there is a weak link. Will he be the undoing of them all? Black recounts this tale of greed, betrayal, and friendship with ease. Street Team was a quick and enjoyable read. I expect we'll be seeing much more from this talented author.

What do you do when one of your lifetime friends decides to steal from you and then turns out to be a snitch? Wu, D-Mac, Butter, and Flip have been friends just about all of their lives. You can catch them any given day hanging in the hallway of 1839 bored, wanting to be in sh*t. Wu by chance meets Uptown, the flyest dude they know and he takes them under his wing introducing the guys to a life of crime, fast money, cars, jewels, and women. Will any of them make it out alive and free from jail? Or will the consequences of their actions come back to haunt them? Take this ride with newcomer Joe Black back to the 80's with Triple Fat Goose down jackets and big gold chains. It started off a bit slow, however, it turned out to be a very interesting read.
