The purpose of this project is to analyze the operations of the procurement department at Mexicana de Ferreter as, with the objective of designing a procedures manual to optimize administrative management. The proposal is based on the detection of areas for improvement, identified through the application of a research instrument directed to the operative personnel, which allowed obtaining an accurate diagnosis regarding the administrative performance and the quality of customer service.In the development of its activities, the organization requires the acquisition of goods and services, which implies contracting, supply and negotiation processes with various suppliers. In this regard, the absence of a formal mechanism was identified that establishes regulatory guidelines, standardized workflows and detailed descriptions of the activities necessary for procurement personnel to perform their functions effectively and efficiently.
