Stranger Than Fiction

By Roy Edmonds

An outing in woodland with his toddler son ends in a grave discovery for popular novelist Sam Stone. The murder of a clergyman adds to the former newsman's concern with unsolved crimes. He is already struggling to solve serial killings, in his latest thriller starring detective Winsome Chao. Will the real crime he has literally stumbled upon prove stranger than his fictional ones? Or could it, along with helpful friends from Lancashire Police, help him find the ultimate answers? Remarried and now a doting father, Stone is caught between his career-long association with crime and his wife, Grace, and coastal home he treasures. His heroine Winsome is also torn, between new and past romantic passions. As Stone's publishing deadline approaches, the troubled characters in both real and fictional cases pose searching questions - about life and our deepest motivations. In the end a simple human truth stands clear, beyond even right and wrong. This story within a story is a page-turner which asks profound questions, but also entertains and remains spiritually uplifting.
