Murder and Memory Loss
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 19 years ago
The familiar warmth and relaxed atmosphere of her family's beach cottage on San Sebastian Island on the Texas Gulf Coast is the perfect place for Christy Matthews to contemplate the direction of her future. A year after a hurtful divorce, she's ready to move forward. With a fulfilling career as a nurse in the busy medical center district of Houston, she has no need for another controlling man in her life. Yet in the midst of a violent summer storm, when a battered stranger knocks on her door, the healer in Christy refuses to turn him away, even knowing he could bring danger into her home. The man who woke up with a vicious gash on the back of his head and the ocean lapping at his knees cannot remember who he is, where he comes from or why he's there. He only knows he must find help and shelter from the tropical downpour. Following a light to a cabin down the beach, he finds a green-eyed angel who trusts enough to take care of him. When Jonathan Talbot does regain his memory, he finds himself reliving his greatest fear. His profession as a criminal profiler has once again brought danger into the life of a woman he loves. The vicious Night Stalker, a serial killer on the loose in Houston, focuses on the man he's already tried once to kill and now, also on the woman who saved him from death. Lorna Michaels has penned a chilling tale of murder and intrigue. She creates a realistic, yet intense depth to her characters, which draws the reader into the story and into their lives. The sensuality between Christy and Jonathan is beautifully natural and intimate. I enjoyed this book very much and will be watching for this author's next release.

A wounded rain-soaked stranger lands on Christy Matthews' doorstep and into her arms. He has no wallet or I.D. on him and no memory of who he is. And worse, with no idea that both of them are in danger, as a serial killer closes in for the kill. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It has a great plot, wonderful dialogue, page-turning suspense and sizzling chemistry between the hero and heroine. I highly recommend Stranger in Her Arms and look forward to Lorna Michael's next book.

When a battered stranger arrives at Christy Matthews' doorstep, her nurse's inclination to heal wars with her fear of letting this man into her home. She opens the door and her life changes. The man has no identification and no memory of what happened to him. When a tropical storm strands them in a house together, Christy finds herself drawn to him even as she wonders who he really is. To add to the mystery, it's soon clear that someone wants him dead. With suspense and romance in equal measure, Lorna Michaels has a winner with Stranger in Her Arms.
