The scriptures are replete with examples of how the POSITION of the heart is important to God. We have come to learn over time that it's not what you do that pleases God; it's why you do what you do that glorifies Him most. This is a simple yet difficult truth to conceptualize because of the nature of the process that's presented once we realize we must measure our motives. For every action, word, decision and desire, there is a corresponding inspiration that comes from the heart. In modern Christianity, there is a tendency to place emphasis on that which is done externally without giving clear chance to judge the place of origin of those actions. This has caused great damage to innocent people over the past fewdecades who have been introduced to the vile andwicked nature of hearts even when the owner of the heart is considered 'Christian'.
