Strange Air Freight: They Brought Home More than the Dead

A reporter assigned to Iraq to cover the drawdown of American troops thinks it is an easy assignment, he thinks. It led to his being wounded, hospitalized, and hearing the last word of a Marine who'd been stationed in Afghanistan and shipped to an Iraq Hospital. The reporter and his nurse ignore the Marine's last desperate words until the Marine disappears in the night. When they are told he's been flown out to Germany, they discover there were no flights that night.

They start asking questions, and asking each other if the Marines' claim of Drugs being placed inthe coffins of returning dead soldiers was possible. These simple questions, overheated by the wrong people, engross the two into uncovering a worldwide drug smuggling operation, corrupt politicians, and Mexican cartels with contacts throughout the system. They have placed themselves in danger. Whom can they trust as the two attempt to uncover the truth?

One safe place after another is uncovered, leaving them with only their own wits to keep them alive, while the Cartel joins with the contractorsin a joint venture of intrigue and deception andmurder.
